Think the Kids’ Choice Awards, think icky green slime – but there was more than slum dunks grabbing our attention this year. Because when the fun-tastic show rolled into LA this weekend, all eyes were on Kristen Stewart and not just due to that reunion.

In fact, K-Stew looked cooler than ever clad in a blue and black chequered top and matching shorts topped off with a messy fishtail plait and black patent heels by Christian Louboutin. Considering the actress provided one of her greatest style swishes ever when she rocked Louis Vuitton’s checks back in October, it makes sense that she’s returned to the super-hot style. What’s more, the edgy look is a welcome treat amid the thigh-grazing mini-dresses her fellow attendees opted for.

But what has us MOST excited about this ensemble is it comes courtesy of London-based designer Osman Yousefzada. Yes, we’re proud to see Kristen is backing our homegrown talent. The British born designer studied at Central Saint Martins before launching his own label during London Fashion Week in 2008 and subsequently received NEWGEN sponsorship for three seasons. His directional pieces are famous for being well-tailored and softened with sensuous draping inspired by his interest in ethnicity.

You’ll remember the one and only Beyonce stunned at the 2013 Grammy Awards in February when she ditched the standard sparkling gowns for a black and white jumpsuit from Osman’s Spring Summer 2013 catwalk [above left]. The graphic lines and strong shoulder certainly make quite the statement. The designer also counts Thandie Newton, Nicole Richie and, of course, Lady Gaga as fans so he’s understandably chuffed to add K-Stew to the Osman crew. Grazia Daily grabbed an exclusive chat with the man himself this morning…

Grazia Daily: How did it come about that Kristen wore your design?

Osman: Her stylist took a liking to it, pulled it and and she loved it. I got lucky! It is always an honour when anybody takes to your designs. When it finds a home on someone like Kristen Stewart, I consider myself humbled and lucky.

Grazia Daily: Did you work with her stylist?

Osman: I have a showroom in LA [laChambre] that works directly with her stylist.

Grazia Daily: What is it about Kristen that made you want to dress her?

Osman: Kristen has a strong presence but in that there is restraint, there is an element of mystery…intrigue. She feels like a natural extension of my brand so it makes sense to me to see her in my clothes.

Grazia Daily: Did you meet Kristen?

Osman: Wouldn’t that be lovely? But no. I imagine she’d be really cool.

Grazia Daily: How did it feel when you saw Kristen wearing your design on the red carpet?

Osman: I woke up to wonderful Sunday morning with Twitter going crazy with pictures of Kristen looking stunning in our Pre-Fall check. She looked amazing!

Grazia Daily: What’s your verdict on the way she styled the look?

Osman: It was cool and no fuss. I imagine her to be that way too.

Grazia Daily: Checks are hugely popular at the moment – what’s your advice for wearing the trend?

Osman: I think you should mix and match and play with proportions.

Grazia Daily: Which other ladies have you been excited to dress?

Osman: It was great to dress Beyonce for the Grammys. Diane Kruger just wore a look of mine for a private press day. It’s all exciting in just a month. I’m excited to dress strong women, most definitely.

Grazia Daily: Is there one star you still dream of dressing?

Osman: There are lots of women I would love to dress from Tilda Swinton to Jessica Pare to Jessica Chastain to Taylor Swift… and many more.

Grazia Daily: What are you working on at the moment?

Osman: I’m trying to get Resort going and I’m working on the next issue of my journal, The Collective.

and Elizabeth Banks are joining Jim Sturgess in Steven Shainberg’s The Big Shoe. HanWay Films is handling international here at the EFM with CAA repping domestic. Secretary director Shainberg is helming from a script he wrote with Mickey Birnbaum. Sturgess plays a gifted shoe designer forced to break free from a family who wants to turn his designs into mass-produced knock-offs. The family hires psychotherapist Mary Kay (Banks) and muse Delphi (Stewart) to lure him back to work. Shainberg says the film will combine eroticism and humor in a similar way to dark comedy Secretary. Andrew Lazar’s Mad Chance produces and Richard Middleton and Christina Lurie are executive producing.

Everyone asks about the nude scenes in On the Road, but I also had to dance, and dancing is harder than being naked. My character, Marylou, is so exuberant, and I had five minutes to do something that showed she was sort of like the craziest motherfucker around. In the book, it says, ‘Dean takes Marylou and they do a love dance and no one can take their eyes off them.’ It’s one sentence. And I was mad-intimidated by it. We did the dance four times to the song ‘Salt Peanuts.’ By the end, I was as red as a fire truck. I was holding onto Garrett [Hedlund] because I was going to fall over. I almost passed out every single time.”

EW has today announced the release date of the Breaking Dawn Part 2 DVD! They have also released a new behind the scenes picture from the movie, which has been added to our gallery.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD March 2. (Check out an exclusive, behind-the-scenes photo from the film, above.)

The intense final installment of the vampire franchise took in over 290 million dollars at the domestic box office, nine million more than Breaking Dawn — Part 1.

Both the Blu-ray and the 2-disc DVD will feature hours of bonus material, including a seven-part making-of documentary with segments including “Renesmee” and “The Battle,” as well as audio commentary on the film by director Bill Condon.
