Summit Entertainment has just announced that Breaking Dawn: Part 1, the fourth installment in the Twilight Saga, has grossed an estimated $701.3 million globally since the film was released in November.
Breaking Dawn Part 1 , starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, is also on its way to becoming the highest grossing film in the series. The film is just a few million dollars away from passing New Moon, which took in $709.8 million.
The film company’s co-chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said in a statement: “The milestone is important on several fronts and illustrates the vitality of the franchise on a global scale even after four films. Stephenie Meyer’s story and characters were brought to the screen this time via the talented hands of Bill Condon along with the cast and crew that has been with the film franchise since its inception. We are very proud of the success the franchise has experienced and anticipate the saga’s conclusion this November.”
Congratulations to everyone involved with Breaking Dawn on this accomplishment! (Source)

Kristen’s co-star Charlize Theron was interviewed by E!Online’s Marc Malkin and during the interview talked about working with Kristen on Snow White and the Huntsman.
Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron may play rivals in Snow White and the Huntsman, but it’s so not like that in real life.
The two didn’t first meet until after they both signed on to the movie…
“We met on a plane going to Comic-Con,” Theron told me at the BAFTA Los Angeles tea party at the Four Seasons Hotel. “You know when you meet someone and it’s effortless? It was instantly amazing.
“We couldn’t shut up,” she continued. “The plane landed and they were like, ‘Get off the plane’ and we were going on and on.”
It was the same on set. “I think we both love what we do and we came to play,” Theron said.
Yeah, but what happened when it came to their fight scenes? We imagine the “total bitch” Evil Queen got to kick
Stewart‘s Snow White’s butt.

The Daily Mail did an article on Carolina Herrera and Ms. Herrera shared a bit about Kristen and the dress she wore for the wedding in Breaking Dawn.
With the exception of the Duchess of Cambridge, the wedding dress worn by Twilight’s Bella in the new Breaking Dawn: Part 1 film was one of the most eagerly-anticipated of last year.
And for actress Kristen Stewart, it seems, the gown was more than just a costume.
In the new issue of Town & Country Weddings, designer Carolina Herrera revealed that the actress was visibly emotional when trying on the dress.
She said: ‘We did three fittings. When she initially put on the dress and looked over her shoulder into the mirror, she was very moved.
‘In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film but instead a bride, and a happy one at that.’
Of course it is not lost on us that Miss Stewart’s real-life beau is her co-star Robert Pattinson, and Mrs Herrera’s revelation brings new significance to the scene.
Mrs Herrera, a veteran of the fashion industry who has worked with women as varied as Jackie O and Christina Hendricks, also described how the design of the dress came about.
‘I took into consideration the character of Bella and Kristen’s portrayal of her, and what this fantasy character would choose to wear for the most important day of her life,’ she said.
‘It’s made of a crepe satin with two inserts on the front and beautiful silk thread topstitching.
‘The neckline is a slight V, just enough to see the collarbones. The back is oval-shaped, with a Chantilly lace border veiled in tulle.
‘It’s very romantic, and when all the details come together, it creates a vision specific to Bella’s style and personality.’
The gown, which was apparently inspired by vampire Edward’s Edwardian heyday, took six months to realise, and the designer worked closely with Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.
It was worth the effort though. Mr Pattinson told the Today Show last November: ‘It’s an incredible dress. She looks amazing.’
Since the film was released at the end of last year, replica gowns have gone on sale for $799 at Alfred Angelo boutiques.
And Mrs Herrera will be selling more high-end versions for brides-to-be that may be prepared to part with $35,000.

News has been very quiet in the Kristen front as she has returned to filming in England. But I came across an article that I missed that the Vancouver Sun did on Kristen and her two characters Bella Swan & Snow White.
Indeed, the 21-year-old has had a great deal to be enthusiastic about. She’s near the end of her Twilight phase of playing the lost-in-love-with-a-vampire Bella, as Part 1 hits theatres to a great deal of anticipation, followed by the already completed Part 2 set for release in November 2012.
The good news for Stewart is that the Twilight franchise has put her in position to do what she wants. For instance, she’s in the middle of playing another iconic character, Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman, shooting in London.
In the fractured action version of the fairy tale, a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) is commanded to take Stewart’s Snow White into the woods to be eliminated. Soon enough, the huntsman falls for Snow White and sets about, with Snow White, to de-throne the evil Queen (Charlize Theron) who ordered the murder.
Sure, Bella and Snow White might be variations on the theme of a damsel in distress, but they don’t have much else in common. Yet Stewart is persuaded to compare Bella and Snow White, and the actress attempts to, punctuated by the first of many grabs of her hair.
“I guess the only actual comparison that sticks out in my mind is that they really are both, in different ways, matriarchs,” she said on a break from filming the Snow White movie.
But Stewart’s no expert. She said she got to know Bella over time. Snow White is another story, one that’s not that familiar to her.
“I didn’t grow up on fairy tales,” she said. “I know everyone says that the reason this Snow White thing is so cool is that we’ve all grown up with these stories, but I’m like, ‘Nah, I didn’t.’”
She does appreciate how important both Bella and Snow White are to fans of each.

Lily Collins spoke with Access Hollywood recently and revealed she auditioned for the part that eventually went to Kristen.
Lily Collins takes on one of the most beloved fairytale characters ever in the upcoming “Mirror Mirror,” and she knows her journey as Snow White will be very different than Kristen Stewart’s, who plays the same princess in “Snow White & The Huntsman.”
“Our Snow White starts off as the fairytale princess we all know and love and then she progresses into a young woman and much of a fighter, but it’s not an edgy version of the story or a darker version. It’s very much a comedic adventure and I think the other one is a little darker,” Lily, who has seen some of the other ‘s script, told Access Hollywood guest correspondent Elizabeth Chambers during a recent set visit.
“The images of our films are very, very different,” Lily continued. “They’re both kind of untold stories, so you know they’re different in their own ways.”
Lily actually auditioned for both Snow White roles.
“I did read the other Snow White script,” she told Elizabeth, the wife of Lily’s co-star, Armie Hammer. “I auditioned for it, but I’ve been so excited for Kristen. I think that story is so different than ours and the girls are so different. She’s perfect for her version, and I’m really excited to be doing this one and I think they have totally different audiences.”
