Catching up with our updates, here is the recent news for Snow White and the Huntsman:
First up, Chris Hemsworth has joined as the Huntsman:

Now that ‘Thor’ opened strongly around the world, its star Chris Hemsworth is one hot Aussie hunk. He’s just closed a deal for the good guy role opposite Twilight Saga starlet Kristen Stewart as the Huntsman in Snow White And The Huntsman which is Universal’s version of the fairy tale.
And now the movie has moved up from its original December 2012 date to June 1, 2012:
The race to bring a Snow White film to theaters has just ratcheted up.
Universal announced late Sunday that it is making a bold bid for Snow White supremacy, setting a June 1, 2012 release for its take on the classic fairly tale, Snow White and the Huntsman. The film will star Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in the title roles.
That date will likely not sit well with executives at Relativity Media, which previously nailed down the opening date for its tale, now untitled but formerly known as Brothers Grimm: Snow White, on June 29, 2012.
Glad to see this one coming together!

Universal Pictures is setting Sam Claflin to play the role of the prince in Snow White and the Huntsman, the Rupert Sanders-directed re-imagining of the fairy tale that stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the evil queen. The studio is still working on its huntsman, and as Deadline was the first to tell you, the offer is with Thor star Chris Hemsworth. Claflin just starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and he has just been offered the title role opposite Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore in the Warner Bros/Legendary supernatural thriller The Seventh Son. Claflin could make that film, which starts in March, and then follow with Snow White and the Huntsman. CAA and Independent Talent rep him.
What do you all think?

Robert and Kristen grace the cover of the May 6, 2011 issue of Entertainment Weekly and offer a “first look” at the film. An additional still from People has also been added in the gallery.
Fans have waited years to see Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) tie the knot, and the wedding scene, scheduled for the end of production on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, proved to be equally climactic for those involved. “It was one of the coolest things that I’ve done,” says Stewart. “There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.”
But filming wasn’t always quite so idyllic. As the stars and director tell EW, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 (in theaters November 18 and November 2012) involved a grueling, globe-trotting shoot, and scenes far darker, bloodier, and more polarizing than any in the franchise so far. If audiences haven’t matured with the Twilight books, they’re about to grow up fast. “We shot everything — whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth — as potent and powerful as it can be,” says director Bill Condon, who knew he was working within the constraints of a PG-13 rating. “It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.” For her part, Stewart wishes the movie could have been even truer to the graphic nature of the book — not so much the honeymoon sequence (“It feels like a real love scene, not necessarily vampire-y, which is good”), but the brutal birth of the baby, Renesmee. “It’s funny because when [the PG-13 issue] comes up, everybody thinks it’s all about the sex,” she says. “The birth is really effective, and I’ve heard it really hits you in the face. But what it could have been? It could have been shocking and grotesque, because that’s how it was written in the book.” She sighs: “I would have loved to have been puking up blood.”
Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, says that even being a member of the wolf pack didn’t have its privileges. “Everybody is always complaining to me that I don’t have to wear the contacts, I don’t have to wear the white makeup or wear wigs and all that stuff. And I’m like, ‘I’m the one in the freezing rain and cold not wearing a shirt! I paid my dues in New Moon and Eclipse.’” And as for his plot arc in Part 2, which will involve falling for — or imprinting on — Renesmee? “There were many times I walked up to Stephenie [Meyer] and asked her, ‘What exactly is imprinting?’” says Lautner. “It’s still a very confusing thing for me, so don’t ask.”
Pick up a copy of the issue on stands this week, check out the other BD stills at Entertainment Weekly and stay tuned for scans heading your way!
It seems unlikely that we’ll get photos, but fingers crossed anyway! She looks gorgeous from what we can see. :)

Today Kristen celebrates her 21st birthday and we hope this year is even better than the last; filled with even more success, happiness, and love. Happy birthday, Kristen!
Though some personal issues got in the way of our birthday project, I do plan on sending her a package/card on behalf of the site. If you wish for a message to be included, please leave a comment and I’ll do my best to include it.
Thank you and, again, happy birthday, Kristen!
An update on Snow White and the Huntsman — hopefully we’ll get word of who will be taking Viggo’s place. Any ideas of who you’d like to see?
Viggo Mortensen will not take the male lead in ”Snow White and the Huntsman,” formally ending months of negotiations with Universal.
Pic, which is being produced by Joe Roth and directed by Rupert Sanders, already stars Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron. It was scheduled to start shooting sometime this fall and set for a Dec. 21, 2012, release.
Dropping out of negotiations leaves the door open for Mortensen to take the role of the villain in Warner Bros. ”Superman: Man of Steel,” which is scheduled to shoot at the same time as ”Huntsman.”
Warner Bros. would not comment, but ”Superman” director Zack Snyder is reportedly interested in Mortensen.
