A MTV Brazilian Blog posted their preview of the Brazilian press conference and the complete interview will be posted in a few days.
It happened today here in Sao Paulo, the long-awaited ‘New Moon’ press conference, in which besides being full of journalists in the extended holiday, was 200 times more fans out there, waiting at least to give a goodbye to their idols. I guess not even in my pre-teen time with the New Kids on the Block and not even in my teens with the Backstreet Boys here in Brazil I saw something that has come close to what I saw today. The phenomenon is bigger than we think, seriously.
There were childs, adolescents, adults, elderlys, it had everything. It even had a girl that was recently operated with crutches and all. The fans were doing absolutely anything for at least a sight of their idols – and notice that Robert Pattinson was not in Brazil, because otherwise surely it would have 5 times more people in the door of the hotel.
While some of the press were taking photos of Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, the journalists were taken to another room where they were watched all the trailers you’ve seen here in Judão: Bella cutting her finger, Jacob’s transformation into a wolf, Edward whippin with the Volturi etc. We also saw the scene where Bella punches Paul and finally discovers the gang of werewolves, and the sequence, when Jacob turns to save her and she discovers all, we saw the scene of Jacob jumping to the second floor of the Bella’s house to reach her bedroom window (and this whole scene was shot by Taylor, no stunts or special effects – as they were pleased to inform us – and that meant that the actor trained the jumps 2 to 3 hours per day). We saw the scene of Bella prevent Edward to walk in the sun in Volterra. We saw several scenes where Bella risks her life so the adrenaline could allow her to see and hear Edward, the werewolf and Laurent battle scene and the scene where Victoria is being chased by the wolves. Several of the scenes were repeated many times, but everyone seemed very pleased with the result.
