Gossip Cop reports that the role rumor about Kristen being in the talks for the role as Lisbeth Salander in the Millenium series are false.
Should we have added another movie to yesterday’s Kristen Stewart upcoming roles poll?
A lot of online speculation this week has the “Twilight” star set to assume the part of hacker Lisbeth Salander in a remake of the popular Swedish series “Millenium.” Rumors were picked up and (wondered about) everywhere, with Stewart supposedly “listed” for the role and considered Sony’s “only option” for Salander, despite interest from Natalie Portman and Ellen Page.
Stewart’s fans, though, shouldn’t get too excited about “Millenium,” at least not yet.
Asked whether Stewart was attached to the movie, a source close to the actress told us, “I believe that’s not true.”

Whether true or not Kristen would do a wonderful job in the role. As she would in any role that she takes on.
I have to say regardless if she is or isnt in this movie, she makes a great actress and brings the charactors she chooses to life, and with that comes a great movie.. Kristen will shine in 2010!! :)
I have seen this movies and I love them. I think she will do good like she does with her other roles if she gets it.
I think that Noomi Rapace that plays Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish movies is awesome, she really rocks in that role and no one can do as good as her.
Love Kristen and I think she is an really good actress. She would be one of the best choices as Lisbeth. But no one can replace Noomi. I love Kristen and I hope she gets this part because I love the Millenium series and she is one of my favorite actress.
Why would they make a remake, when the movies already exist with AMAZING actors?
I am a BIG fan of Kristen Stewart and all her movies, but Noomi Rapace just does an amazing job as Lisbeth Salander in the Millenium series. I agree with KStewFan: No one can replace Noomi.
And if the Hollywood remake will be like the Swedish movies (which I do not think), they are too violent for a girl who is in the Twilight series. Not because I do not think she can handle it. She certainly could….
Oooh, too bad, i was hoping to see Kristen in this role. With that hair color but a bit longer, she is perfect for the role.
I haven’t seen the Swedish movies yet (i’ve seen the trailer, so very really good! :D) and i know that this girl who plays Lisbeth is really good, but it bothers me that i can’t see it in the original language because i don’t undersand a thing!
I’d like them to make the american version of the movies, if Kristen’s in them, that would be su much better! :D
Kristen would be perfect for the role. Hopefully she will get a chance at it. Natalie and Ellen just don’t seem to be the right choices for the role of Lisbeth. Kristen would rock in this role.
Naomi Rapace is absolutely perfect for the role of Lisbeth Salander… The swedish version of Millenium is perfect too…I don’t see any interest in G. Clooney or even K. Stewart in a new version… Naomi is Lisbeth Salander… Kristen is always the same (Kristen ?) in each or every movie she made…No surprise ! For my part, I would prefer Ellen Page but even….
^ I agree, on the part that the Swedish version is great and that Noomi’s performance was absolutely stunning! She was amazing!
But i think Kristen could totally play Lisbeth, she could do an amazing job if she has the chance.
Ellen Page…? Mmm, I don’t know, I’ve only seen her in Juno (which i loved, she was great) and that’s not such a dark movie… I don’t know.
I’d love it if they do the american version of the movies. I wish i could understand what they say without reading the subtitles.
