‘Twilight’ Star Kristen Stewart Will Cliff-Dive In ‘New Moon’ — With CGI Help’

BEVERLY HILLS, California — As originally imagined by author Stephenie Meyer, Bella Swan is a diamond in the rough. We’ve seen her trip and fall, we’ve seen her battle her own antisocial behavior and we’ve seen her fall heart-and-soul into a most unusual romance. But now, as filming for “New Moon” gets underway, director Chris Weitz is planning to show us Bella as we’ve never seen her before.

In CGI?

“I had to go in and do a head-scan the other day,” Kristen Stewart revealed to MTV News over the weekend, discussing a recent Vancouver appointment to create a computer-generated doppelgänger for a key “New Moon” scene.

The CGI-Bella will appear during a moment Twilighters have long dreamt of watching with their own eyes: the cliff-diving scene. In “New Moon,” Bella becomes so distraught over her breakup with Edward that she dives off a precipice into the icy waters below, hearing his voice whenever she places herself in danger. Fans care so much about the pivotal “New Moon” moment that some have even created their own videos depicting how it should go down. Until now, the biggest question has been whether Stewart would do the stunt herself.

The Dish Rag asked Kristen Stewart, at the press junket for the winning ’80s comedy, “Adventureland,” how it feels to start to film the second “Twilight” film, “New Moon.”

Is she excited about going back to that world?

“I’m looking forward to all of the new aspects of the movie, says Kristen.

“A lot more introduced, like the world of the werewolves is coming alive. The second movie is much more quaint. Edward (Robert Pattinson) leaves her, which is interesting considering since the first movie is based on their devotion to each other.”

“So to see them cope without each other and to see this character Jacob, who supposed to represent light and warmth and he pulls her out of a rut that’s like seemingly impossible… it’s really tragic. Like, I can’t wait to see Taylor’s (Lautner) face when I tell him, ‘It’s him, it’s always been him,” she says with an audible shiver.

I got to meet kristen at Jimmy Kimmel last night, we got to meet her and take a pic with her and get her autograph. She is soo nice! And pretty! It’s so funny cause I had tickets for the show but we didn’t get to get in cause it was full and there were no seats left. We were so sad but we waited for her to come out and she did. We got lucky cause if we had gotten into the show, we wouldn’t have met her. We’re so lucky and thankful we didn’t get in. Well that’s it lol i just wanted to share our story.
