In a bizarre twist of movie-release scheduling, Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be in direct competition soon, because their upcoming movies are being released on the same day.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Pattinson’s Little Ashes—in which the Twilight hunk plays surrealist painter Salvador Dali—and Stewart’s comedy Adventureland—about an amusement-park employee who learns important life lessons from his work environment—will both be released on March 27.
And even though they’re both making the big bucks these days, Pattinson, 22, and Stewart, 18, can’t be happy about the fact that they’ll be vying for the Twilight audience’s movie-going dollar.
Hopefully this won’t cause the castmates to be at each others’ throats while filming the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon—which, coincidentally, begins filming in March.

thats such a bummer!! ahh i hope robert doesn’t steal all the girl twilight fans. i no im going to adventureland!
What’s the big deal? I would gladly walk out the theater from Robert’s movie and be right back in for Kristen’s =)
i’ll definitely be seeing both too!
i’m an artist, so i love Dali
and i grew up where Adventureland was filmed!
okay so here’s the deal…a LOT of twilight fans won’t be able to or won’t want to see either movie…
first of all, kristen’s movie is rated r
and second of all rob plays an artist who begins an affair with one of his male friends…so i really don’t think a bunch of twilight girls want to go see rob play a gay man.
i personally (i’m a twilight fan, not fanatic and only read the books because of the movie)…will go and see both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
especially since i’m all for gay rights and work at subway (adventureland minus fun)!!!
<3
I can’t wait to watch Adventureland.
Sorry, Rob.
I can’t see both. They’re both rated R. But I really want to!
Definitely seeing Adventureland. Maybe Little Ashes eventually but certainly not the opening weekend. Adventureland is just my kind of movie, even if Kristen wasn’t in it, I’d probably be seeing it. I mean it’s basically an Apatow production, and it doesn’t get any better than Apatow when it comes to comedy.
